UPS Sets Record Straight

UPS released the following statement on Friday addressing the Politico story last week about FedEx “ratting out” the American Conservative Union (ACU) over a mistaken belief that the ACU had changed its position on the amendment of a bill FedEx is trying to kill that would place its drivers under the same labor law as UPS’s drivers. Treating Similar Employees Equally

Kevin L. Kearns, president of the U.S. Business and Industry Council – certainly anything but a “shill” for UPS – lays out the argument for changing existing law so that FedEx Express drivers are treated the same as express drivers for every other company in a column appearing today in the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Some highlights:

When a Poll is Nothing More than Propaganda

A few weeks ago, the anonymous hired guns who run FedEx’s disingenuous anti-UPS website released the results of a “poll” which purportedly shows that a majority of Americans support the notion of treating FedEx differently under the law from every other similar company in the country.
